Symphor is a fashion designer and an Evangelist. He is longing to see his country revived and believes for a mighty move of God in Belgium. Last summer he saw the miracles he was praying for for a long time. Ears got opened, blind eyes could see and someone stood up out of a wheelchair. It seems that God is preparing something great for Belgium.
Before Awakening Europe in Rotterdam, Symphor and his team went out on the streets to pray, share the word and heal the sick.’ We were out on the streets to prepare the ground for what was about to come. When the ‘Call back’ came to Brussels that’s when crazy things happened. There was a blind man, who’s eyes appeared white, who could now see. Also, a whole Muslim family got born again. We baptized them after even thought they had a chance to be persecuted by their families.’
‘The Call back in Brussels was massive, it boasted our faith to see more of God in Belgium. Do you know that missionaries used to call Belgium a cemetary when it comes to revival?’

The opposite has been happening in the last season and Symphor tells about different evangelism movements in his home country. Soon they will start evangelistic events called: ‘Belgium Arise’. In these events, they expect God to bring in the lost and to empower the body of Christ. The first event will be on the 15th of October in Bergen, Belgium.
According to Symphor we are now in a different season when it comes to Evangelism. It is considered normal to count 50 salvations after a day of outreach. Before, there was a lot of criticism by churches: ‘Amazing you count the numbers, but how are you going to disciple all these people? Have you thought about the responsibility?’ Testimonies tell God is doing something in Belgium and people are hungry to meet Jesus. Symphor keeps on sharing sharing Jesus, churches grow and people are added to the kingdom.
Most often God uses Symphor through the gift of healing, but this hasn’t always been so easy as it is now. ‘I watched videos from ministers like Torben Sondergard and Todd White. I got excited and asked God if He wanted to use me through healing as well. I started going out on the streets to approach people. However, I prayed for the sick so many times, but nothing really happened.’ Symphor kept on going despite the disappointment, because if God promises that he is a Healer, then it is true.
‘Your experience doesn’t change the word of God. Keep on going, despite of what you see or what people say’

In his journey, big change happened when Symphor encountered God while he was out on the streets. God came over him with supernatural compassion: ’I didn’t expect something to happen, but I started to pray. God gave me such compassion for this person. When I laid my hands on the person electricity went through all of his body and he received healing. From this moment, faith and confidence was build within me to step out more.’ Another marking moment was during ‘the Call back’, when a woman gave her life to Christ and stood up from her wheelchair. This isn’t something anymore where people could pretend to be healed just to be nice. These healings are undeniable.
‘Evangelism doesn’t have to look a certain way, if you believe you need to look a certain way or do a certain thing to be accepted it’s called religion’
Symphor Bambi Kenda
‘People need to leave religion. Just go out there, listen to the Holy Spirit and share the gospel. God has given you everything you need. It is by His power and by our obedience that people will come to Christ. When we go out, we can be sure that things will happen’. Currently Symphor is breaking ground in Evangelism by following one of his greatest passions: Fashion. ‘I’m a fulltime minister, but I am also a fashion designer. I believe that we as followers of Christ are supposed to think big to introduce people to the gospel. My dream is to work in Paris, to organize a fashion show and to own a well known brand.’ The name of Symphor’s clothing line is ‘ Jesus is Lord’. Jesus name is the name above all names and Symphor loves to make Him known.
