The tour is organized by the organisation BeyondBorders. In a message that they posted on their Facebook page, they write that their goal is to break down the borders in hearts that bring division and to look for unity in Europe. With their bike tour, they hope to put the work that Cherut is doing on the map and raise money for the organization.
Cherut helps female victims of prostitution in Antwerp, Brussels, Ghent, and Ostend. They do this in all kinds of ways, through outreaches, the help of social workers, creating meeting places, taking care of shelter and financial support, and more.
Their tour will not be an easy one. They will have to climb the second highest mountain in the Alps, which is 2757 meters above sea level, in 10 days!
