In the city of Toledo in Spain, the EnRed meeting took place in the beginning of this month. During this meeting, around 100 youth leaders gathered to receive support, inspiration, and education. The leaders came from all over Spain and many different evangelical denominations.
The meeting took place from October 7 to October 9, and was organized by Alianza Joven (Youth Alliance). This organisation is part of the Spanish Evangelical Alliance as its youth ministry area. This is reported by Evangelical Focus.
Speakers like Itiel Arroyo, Alex Sampedro, and Jaume Llenas spoke at this year’s EnRed meeting. Arroyo spoke about the heart of a leader and how to take care of it. He stressed the importance of filling your heart with God’s presence, and not with other things. Sampedro talked about how to develop a healthy missionality, and about “the essential keys that every leader must develop in mission.” Llenas spoke about the separation between the sacred and the secular both in our personal life and in the church, and how to correct that separation.
At the end of the meeting, there was a special moment of intercession for Spain. On a large map of the country, everyone could pray for their town, city, or region. They prayed with bare feet, to symbolise the intercession “to fulfil God’s mission and bring God’s kingdom to each place.” In the video below you can see how they did this:
