A refugee lady in Athens, Greece, gave her life to Jesus during a women’s refugee program of the social medical center The Good Samaritan, the ministry reports on their website. The center, connected to the Christian ministry Hellenic Ministries serves women and children refugees in downtown Athens.
The lady studied Farsi literacy at the Good Samaritan Center, where the staff spent time with her, prayed for her, encouraged her and shared truth from the Bible.
Through these times God encountered her and started healing her broken heart. The staff then invited her to their women’s refugee program at Porto Astro. She enjoyed the fellowship and learned many new things.
White light
One day she testified that during a Bible study class at The Good Samaritan, she suddenly saw something that deeply moved her: a white light. At that moment she was convinced that what the staff was sharing from the Bible, was the truth.
According to Hellenic Ministries, the lady said: “I believed at that moment, but I did not mention it because I was in shock!” She now plans to move to Belgium where she will reunite with her daughter and will share her new found faith. “We are so thankful for the work God is doing in her life”, Hellenic Ministries concludes.
