During the UK Arise conference in Cardiff, Wales, Jean-Luc Trachsel gave a powerful message about God’s heart for Europe. He also shared about what the Lord showed him about Europe’s future. Jean-Luc believes there will come a time of persecution, but he also believes that thousands of people will be saved for eternity.
“In Nehemiah 4:20 it says: ‘When you hear the blast of the trumpet, rush to wherever it is sounding, then our God will fight for us.’”, Jean-Luc shared from the word of God. “I really believe, for those who can hear the sounds from heaven: the Lord is blasting the trumpet. I know that I know that the Lord is coming back very soon. But before He is coming back, there will be many things that will happen. There will be earthquakes and tragedies. There will be droughts and all the things that we can read about in the Bible.”
Take back our continent
“I believe we are not facing easy days”, he continued. “We are heading to a glorious day, but we will face opposition like never before. We will face persecution like never before and some of us will even die here in Europe because of the gospel.
But in the midst of that people will be willing to pay the price, especially this young generation. It doesn’t matter how much it will cost – they will go and pray and fight. The Lord will be with them and they will have victory. That’s the way we will be able to take back our continent for the Lord.
Europe is a continent with Christian roots, but today every year more than 2 million people are leaving Christianity. Every year hundreds of churches are destroyed in Europe. It’s in the statistics on Google and on the national tv of France they just did a report as well.
More than 2000 churches in Europe have been destroyed in the last year. Church buildings have been destroyed all around Europe or have been sold to become hotels or other things. The worst is: some have been sold to become mosques or temples for other religions.
But today we can hear the sound of the trumpet of the Lord sounding again and saying: ‘It is God’s time for Europe’.”
‘Europe shall be saved’
“When I was 6 years old I got baptized with the Holy Spirit and fire and I heard the sound of heaven declaring out loud: ‘Europe shall be saved’. From the age of 16 I really started my walk with the Lord and by God’s grace I had the support of great people like Reinhard Bonnke. He was a great father and friend to me.
I will never forget that one day he invited me to go with him to Lagos, Nigeria. He said: ‘Jean-Luc, you need to come and see with your own eyes what the Lord is doing’. I said: ‘But Reinhard, my heart is burning for Europe’. He said: ‘Yes, but you need to come and see what the Lord is doing in another continent. Because what you are going to see, is powerful’.
So I went overthere in 2000. It was a large crusade. The first day Reinhard said: ‘Jean-Luc, let’s go to the fields’. When we arrived at the field, there were 250.000 people. I had never seen so many people with my own eyes and started to cry. Reinhard tapped on my shoulder and said: ‘Jean-Luc, just to let you know: that’s not the crusade, it’s just the prayerteam that we equip to reach the harvest’.
Early the next morning I saw a big cloud of dust from my hotel down town in Lagos. It turned out to be a highway of human beings going to the place of the crusade. During these 3 days more than 3 million people gave their lives to Jesus.
The last night I was on the stage. You could turn 360 degrees and all you would see was crowds of people. Reinhard preached the pure gospel and gave a clear altar call after he finished preaching. More than 1 million people filled in the decision card in the booklets to give their lives to Jesus. I cried like a baby and the Lord said: ‘Jean-Luc, what you are seeing here in Africa, is what you’re going to see in Europe’.”
New move of the Holy Spirit
“I’ve been working very hard in Europe and in the past it’s been very hard. We were very happy when we had meetings with 50 people. But after 2010 something shifted in Europe and the tens turned to hundreds and the hundreds to thousands of people in many places.
As I focused on Europe, I saw it happening not only in one place, but in different regions. That’s the reason I call friends around Europe, and ask: ‘What’s happening in your country?’ They tell me: ‘Something has shifted, there is a new move of the Holy Spirit over Europe. We are seeing miracles that we first only saw happening in third world countries. Every Sunday people are getting saved. We see the church growing and are planting new churches. It is moving.’”
