Prayer request
‘Dear friends, Maybe you’ve heard rumors on the YWAM coconut wireless that Loren Cunningham is in the hospital. It’s true. He was not feeling well – we thought it was just one of many flu variants going around. But when his symptoms continued our campus doctor, Dr. Don Curry (trained at Johns Hopkins), encouraged us to take him to ER. He was admitted to the hospital and is getting excellent care. The medical team suspected some kind of blood infection.
Good news – yesterday (Nov 21st) the culture came back and they now know which specific bacteria to target with IV antibiotics, which they have just started. The source of the infection is still unknown, so they are doing more tests.Having Dr. Curry to lean into is such a blessing, as he helps “interpret” what the hospital is telling us, and is staying engaged with the medical team. Loren is still cracking jokes and telling the staff stories from around the world, while having to take medication to cope with pain. I am trusting our God for the needed breakthrough. We would appreciate your prayers for his speedy and complete recovery!
Blessings,
Darlene
