Last weekend David’s Tent celebrated their 10-year anniversary as it was the tenth year since 2012 that they organised their Summer festival. “We are blessed and our souls filled to the brim with joy at the wonder of worshipping the Lord together”, the organisation posted on their Facebook page.
David’s Tent, an interdenominational Christian organisation in the UK annually hosts 72-hour non-stop worship events where thousands of people worship Jesus together. “We have been stunned by the tangible sense of unity, explosive passion, and vibrant community that has emerged over the years, both at the summer festivals and regional worship nights”, the organisation says on their website. “Over the last ten years we’ve seen so many miracles and lives transformed in God’s presence.”
“It all started in the UK when we began to ask the question: ‘What would it look like to worship God non-stop like King David did? What would it look like to see a vibrant worship culture where God’s presence is given the highest priority?’ What began in the UK is now branching into the US. We believe that Jesus is gathering His bride as one to know and love Him in unity all across the nations.”
Tabernacle of David
The organisation says their heart for David’s Tent is “that we would create a space where everyone is free and welcome to worship in God’s presence”. They believe that the culture of worship from the tabernacle of David is being restored in our time, not just in a physical place, but in the hearts and lives of believers. Their hope is that people “come, get refreshed and return to their churches and communities with fresh fire of the Holy Spirit empowering us to live out a lifestyle of worship”.
